Hello there,
We just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful holiday, and to thank you for your continued support over the course of this challenging and unpredictable year.
It’s been a tumultuous and difficult time for small publishers everywhere, and your continued support and faith in our vision has been immensely important to us, and has kept us afloat, both personally and financially.
2020 has seen the publication of major projects by long term friends of the press including Ken Hollings (Inferno: A Genealogy Of 1960s Trash Culture), Savage Pencil (Rated Sav-X), David Tibet (There Is A Graveyard That Dwells In Man) and Cathy Ward (Liberty Realm).
We were also able to welcome major new works by authors Joe Banks (Hawkwind: Days Of The Underground), Peter Bebergal (Appendix N: The Eldritch Roots Of Dungeons & Dragons), Amy Hale (Ithell Colquoun: Genius Of The Fern Loved Gully) and Rose Simpson (Muse, Odalisque, Handmaiden: A Girl’s Life In The Incredible String Band).
We begin next year with a reprint of Christopher Josiffe’s much-loved Gef! The Strange Tale Of An Extra-Special Talking Mongoose, and trade paperback editions of Appendix N and Muse, Odalisque, Handmaiden.
We’ll also be restocking paperback editions of Hawkwind, Ithell Colquhoun and Rated Sav-X in our web store.
Our schedule for 2021 begins with a new edition of Cathi Unsworth’s
classic London noir Bad Penny
Blues, followed by books from Mark E. Smith and Graham Duff, Victor
Segalen, Ionel Talpazan and Daniel Wojcik, Timothy Linward, Doug Skinner, and
Mel Gordon and Joanna Ebenstein.
You can expect a few surprise announcements along the way too!
We’ll be taking a short break through the holiday period, but our web store will remain open with State51 fulfilling orders until the 18th of December. They're currently working to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. As always, if you have any issues please do email us at strangeattractor@greedbag.com.
All the best as always,
Mark & Jamie
