A Heads-Up... Fungi Of The Far Realms

Hello There,

Just a quick update from us to direct your attention to a wonderful project that's currently being Kickstarted by our friends at Melsonian Arts Council, purveyors of excellent roleplaying game materials...

If you joined us for Areas of Effect, the symposium on roleplaying games organised by Strange Attractor's Jamie Sutcliffe this past March, you'll likely be familiar with the Melsonians, who were in attendance on the day selling a range of brilliant books related to their infamous Troika! game system (...a weird science-fantasy alternative to Dungeons & Dragons...)

They're currently crowdfunding a new edition of their fictional fungi guide, Fungi Of The Far Realms, authored by Alex Clements and with fantastic artwork by Shuyi Zhang (Iglootree). It's a deeply strange and generative forager's guide for a range of otherworldly mycelial delights that can be enjoyed both as a stand alone book, but also an in-game resource.

You can have a listen to the good folks over at The Vintage RPG podcast discussing the book HERE if you'd like to learn more.

Goes without saying that we're huge fans ourselves, so if either roleplaying games or fantastical fungi are your thing, do check it out.

You can explore the Kickstarter campaign here!

We'll have an update of our own along soon, detailing pre-orders for the revised and expanded edition of Peter Bebergal's out of print but much-requested anthology Appendix N: Weird Tales From The Roots Of Dungeons & Dragons, so do watch out for that.

All the best,
Jamie & Mark
