Please join us on Wednesday March 26th for (one of hopefully many
forthcoming) launch events to celebrate Delinquent
Elementals: A Pagan News Anthology, edited by Phil Hine and
Rodney Orpheus.
Pagan News was an important magazine of the UK occult scene through the
1980s-'90s, co-founded and co-edited by Phil Hine. Tonight we launch
Delinquent Elementals, an anthology of the most exceptional articles,
reports and conversations from the zine's 36 issues.
The evening kicks off with a conversation on the orange sofa between Phil
and Christina. Expect to hear about how magical practitioners in those years
interacted with the wider culture, how the Satanic Panic terrorised lives, how
road works were a hot topic, and how LGBTQ+ occultists struggled for acceptance.
We'll then take it upstairs for a party with complimentary drinks, informal
chats and book signings.
Delinquent Elementals: A Pagan News Anthology is co-edited by Phil
and Rodney Orpheus and published by Strange Attractor Press. It is a large, lush
volume of 656 pages, with 50+ illustrations, many archival. Paperback £25,
hardback £45.
